Very good idea…
should we get a simple kit for this?
I'm still keen on a Soldering Course.
Cheers.

Hi Roy
can you show how to solder without having my hands shake when doing fine work?
I think its just a senior problem.
I'm afraid I can't make August 24, as I'm away with Land Rover club giving presentation on UHF/HF/GPS and navigation software. Maybe I can get in on your next one.
Cheers

Hi Members of Famparc. Sorry for the delay. I had failed to pick up on the level of interest in soldering. I don't claim to be an expert on soldering, however, I am dissapointed to see some of the videos on you tube showing soldering which I find ill informed and/or misleading. What I will claim. I will show you were you can go wrong and to avoid doing so.
First Class. FAMPARC club house, Saturday 24th August Start at 10.30am.

Good idea. Put my name down as interested party.
I think it is a brilliant idea also. I learned to solder many many years ago and it is a skill that has been very valuable. This Christmas I fixed the Christmas Tree Lights when the little switch thing broke a lead - the boss was impressed - without soldering skills it would have hit the rubbish pile.
I also would like to do this :)
I'm keen to learn this too.
Ok.. I'm commenting on my own comment.. I'm keen to learn more about Soldering..
Thanks to Roy.. 🤣
