Poowong

in Trips and Travel

Hi, would like to go to Poowong on Thursday.

I’m told it’s wonderful to do a POTA as there is a lookout or something, my plan is to go there and set up the Icom 7300 say around 11:00, not intended to catch Ron, I don’t want to rush there by 10am.

Later, a pub meal.

The Poowong Hotel looks good.

Bit of an update..

Daryl has booked a table a the Poowong pub for around 12:30pm on Thursday 5th Feb.

A few of us are planning to arrive at the Reserve to play radio from around 10am.. and then pack up and head to the pub for lunch.

Hi Daryl, with a small schedule change, I'm in for Thursday's POTA. I might see if I can hitch a ride with Craig. Nor sure if my endfed will be finished in time, but I'm quite happy to come down as an observer, as I've not done a POTA before, although I have signed up.
